Watch a teacher demonstration to learn how to draw an accurate grid using your own self-portrait photograph and how to use this grid to draw your portrait accurately. 4

5. 4) Begin to use your grid now to draw your self-portrait in LINE
Equip yourself with a 30cm ruler and draw a grid over your portrait photograph using 2cm squares.

2) In your sketchbook, draw exactly the same sized grid on your next clean right hand page in the centre.
3) Now label across the top A, B, C, D…etc. and 1, 2, 3, 4 etc down the side.
