Noun Agreement First, submit your completed literature circles sheet, adjectives sheet, “Making Predictions” sheet, “Inferences Worksheet 6” and/or Short Essay to the homework bin. Then, open your SpringBoard textbook to page 105 and read the information in the blue box entitled “Language and Writer’s Craft: Pronoun Usage and Agreement”. Next, complete the two bullet points under “Practice” in the blue box on page 105. Then, flip to page 106 and complete the revisions in the noun agreement box.

Essential Questions: How can talking and working with others help one analyze a novel? How do internal and external forces help people grow? Standard: ELASE6RL1 – Cite textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text. Learning Targets: Identify claims. Elect your position on these claims. Support your claim with logical reasoning and relevant evidence.

Literacy Lesson #2 (Day 3) First, read “The Carpenter” and “The Carpenter’s Apprentice” another time. You should have kept this packet in your Writing Portfolio. After you have read the texts again, review your multiple choice answers. Do you still agree with what you wrote? If not, correct them now. Next, read and respond to the writing sections within your packet. Once you complete the entire packet, TURN IT IN. If you finish early, you may read independently or re-read any chapters from your novel.

Independent Reading Biblionasium & Book Check-outs – 03/02 Homework: Read. Complete any incomplete work or double-entry journals.
