Call for Ideas Phase 2

2. Phase 1
15 projects were selected in a first round to become part of the centre for Global Challenges and showcase their innovative ideas.

3. Our goals for Phase 2
In the second phase we want projects that generate and promote the use of critical scientific and policy relevant insights on ‘our’ 4 global challenges . These projects need to explore and analyse these topical global challenges not only within these four themes, but especially at their intersections, in multidisciplinary ways.

4. THE CONTESTED GLOBAL ORDER
The interactions between the global and the local are at the core: how are people locally affected by global change at the local level? And how can they influence and contest existing policies and structures at the global level? The projects we select have to address these issues.

5. Connecting people and ideas
UGlobe wants to build bridges across three inter-connected fields of academia: (1) research, (2) education, and (3) societal impact. The projects we select therefore need to cooperate across disciplines within the university and actively engage with outside partners.

6. Concrete products
The projects we will fund need to deliver concrete products e.g.:
development of executive courses
organisation of events or exhibitions
production of films or other (educational) material
concrete activities that strengthen the collaboration with external partners.

7. What do we offer
Financial support of max € to be spent before the end of 2021
Possibility to showcase your project during our international conference in the fall of 2019
Administrative and managerial support
