2. About 30km outside of Yambio there is a model farm that is run by an organization called Solidarity with South Sudan. It is called Riimenze Farm and provides many great examples of how certain fruits and vegetables can be grown in the country.

3. The Riimenze Farm project is funded by Caritas Austria.

4. The hot climate in South Sudan makes it suitable for many tropical fruits. However the lack of rain can cause challenges to the growth of any produce.

7. The farm is a place where locals can come to learn about good farming techniques. The aim is to be able to grow different foods at different times of the year.

14. Outdoor shelters provide shade for farmers where they can talk about successful strategies.

15. Aloe vera plants thrive in the heat.

16. Bananas grow in large bunches.

17. Pineapples are common.

18. Long skinny branches are used as stakes to help tomatoes climb as they grow.

19. There is enough spring onion to feed a whole village!
