AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine University of Colorado School of Medicine Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center I am pleased to provide the State of the Society address today.

A world in which all post-acute and long-term care patients and residents receive the highest-quality, compassionate care for optimum health, function, and quality of life Goal 2: Develop and deliver timely, relevant and actionable educational programs and clinical tools for PALTC clinicians. Goal 4: Advocate for public policy that facilitates the optimal delivery of PALTC medicine to benefit of patients and residents. AMDA Strategy for Goal 1: Ensure that AMDA is a good steward of its resources: human (volunteer & staff), financial, infrastructure, systems, & time. Goal 3: Define and promote the unique roles, skills, and knowledge requirements needed for PALTC medicine. Goal 1 – be good stewards of our resources. Take good care of our resources which includes our finances and importantly our human resources – staff and volunteers. Goal 2.

A Word of Gratitude I must extend deep gratitude to my dear husband Justin. Just as I had the good fortune of meeting kind, loyal souls at AMDA early in my career, I was blessed to meet this remarkable human being when I was a teen. He teaches me every day the importance of devotion to family, friends and each other. I’m grateful for his patience as I tended to all things AMDA this year.
