Lesson 2: Mobile Phones

2 Learning Outcomes LO1: Pupils can recall various features of a mobile phone. LO2: Pupils can identify strengths and weaknesses in different mobile phones for different market areas. LO3: Pupils will apply their knowledge of features of mobile phones to construct arguments for a specific mobile phones ability to meet a market areas needs.

4 1) When making a telephone call what features does your phone have?
What features do other phones have that yours doesn’t if any 2) What additional communication features does your phone have? 3) Many mobile phone devices have developed in to multimedia devices. What media can your phone store and use? What features make your phone stand out from other devices or it’s USP (unique selling point)

5 Research Task Pairs need to select a different brand of phone and select a device from that brands range (blackberry V Apple) Construct an argument for why you Device is better for the following topics. Exploring why your device is better for as wider range of people and audience needs as possible. learning earning leisure shopping money management health and wellbeing Accessibility for the elderly, people who are partially sighted, those operating in challenging environments.
