What do you find then?
Students who want to eagerly learn, students who are willing to learn the right expertise to become good nurses, not only at national level but also at international level!

7. Nursing Department
Thanks to CCNURCA project, there has changed the vision of the academic staff itself regarding the way of training students.
There have been trained all the mentors who monitor the professional clinical practice. This training has also to do way how this practice is done as well as how it is taught according to the standards.
All the mentor have been trained by the full- time academic staff and they have been offered the possibility to use University labs in order to organize the practice based on the new methods of teaching and monitor them. This practice was first done with phantoms.

There has been used the “ 4 STEP PAYTON METHODOLOGY” methodology which includes:
1. Demonstration (mentor demonstrates without comments)
2. Implementation (mentor demonstrates and describes)
3. Understanding (mentor demonstrates according to the student)
4. Performance (student demonstrates and describes at the same time)
There has been introduced the grading system in the nursing protocol.

9. Nursing Department
During these training sessions there has been a great interest shown by mentors who stated that they felt very good with method. The feedback taken from the students was positive too. They pretended that that was the best way for their knowledge acquisition in order to become good nurses.

10. Nursing Department
There have also been updated the teaching plans. There has also been introduced the concept of internship now it is possible student does 4500 hours (theoretical and practical) in three year study program. One academic year has 1500 hours fit in in this way with the EU objectives.
For such objectives we also need the support of the Ministry of Health.

11. Nursing Department
With the electronic equipment bought, it has been made possible that every professors at the department has now his/her own computer. We have also made a small computer lab where students can use these computers for their research work. There have been uploaded a lot information for their research work (professional material, atlases, different diploma theses ect) in these computers.

12. Nursing Department
This project has really been not only a new experience but also made possible to the staff to have a new vision on nursing standards. In this way students are graduated at University could good nurses also at international level. I hope we continue our collaboration in the future and in the same time a special thank goes to all participants, especially to the organizers of this project.
