6 Discipline… There’s a “Dr. Seuss” behavior chart that I use.
Children are given verbal warnings when they aren’t following the class rules! Class Rules: Respect others as you would want them to respect you, Respect school property, Keep hands and feet to yourself, Respect all teachers, Follow Directions, Raise hand if you need something, and absolutely NO bullying!! The behavior chart has several levels the children go through, if they aren’t following the rules. Not keeping hands to themselves and deliberately hitting or hurting someone will immediately result in a phone call home. Fun Fridays are for the students who have a successful week with following the rules. ClassDojo is an amazing app to have communication between teacher/parents. Top 5 students who receive the most points in a week will get to choose a prize from my “treasure” box. Points will be renewed every Monday.

7 Miscellaneous… Attendance: IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!
Please, have your child come to school every day, unless they are sick or for emergencies. Make sure to call school and send a note with child when returning. Birthdays: No Junk Food allowed. Please, refer to Schubert’s HEALTHY food list. (We must be careful with other children’s allergies.

8 Conferences… If you would like to schedule a conference, you can call the school or me so that we can set up a time and day to do so. Make sure to sign up for Parent Portal. Parents who want to chaperone for field trips must go through a quick background check. Keep the school updated with new phone numbers and any information needed.
