2 Propaganda Propaganda is (1) information presented in order to (2) influence a reader. It is not necessarily (3) good or (4) bad. Propaganda played an important part in (5) World War II as both the Allies and the Axis used propaganda to shape (6) public opinion. It was used to raise the morale (7) (happiness) of people at home and the forces fighting abroad and to make the enemy seem more (8) brutal. Propaganda was used to (9) decrease the morale of the people on the other side to try and get them to (10) oppose the war and lose their belief in a victory. Generalization:a suggestion stating something to be true  either of all members of a certain class or of an unlimited part of that class Name-calling: insults directed at the opponent; questioning their character or motives Emotional Appeal: a misconception, where a debater attempts to win an argument by trying to get an emotional reaction from the opponent and audience Slogans: a motto associated with a political party, movement or other group Pseudo Solutions: vague generalizations that sound convincing and incite people to a cause but really say very little
