The Eat Well guide gives us an idea of the different types of food we need to eat every day. You can see that crisps, chocolate and sweets do not belong to any group, this is because we should not eat these foods every day.

Every time you eat foods or drinks containing sugars the plaque produces acids, which can damage the tooth enamel. Dentists call this an ‘attack’. Key stage 1 – lesson 3
