2. Overview
Let’s start with the basics! A full schedule at MSHS is 7.0 credits. Yearlong courses are worth 1.0 credit and semester courses are worth 0.5 credit. If you register for 7 periods a day, you should have 7 credits. If you register for zero period, you should have 8.0 credits upon completion.

3. 11th Grade Registration Form
Now, let’s look at the form.
Please fill out the top portion clearly.

4. English
Step 1:
You will be enrolled in English. You will need to choose between American Literature, AP (Advanced Placement) English Language, and CHS (College in the High School) English Language.

5. Social studies
Step 2:
You will need to enroll in a Social Studies course. You will choose between US History, AP (Advanced Placement) US History, and CHS (College in the High School) US History.

6. Math
Step 3:
Refer to your current math teacher’s recommendation for help in choosing your next math course.

7. electives
Step 4:
You have some flexibility in the selection of your elective courses to fill your remaining credits. We suggest you carefully read the descriptions in the course catalog when making these selections. Some elective classes are yearlong (1.0 credit) and others are semester-long (0.5 credit). You should have 7 total credits for the year.

8. alternates
Step 5:
You will select 6 alternate elective classes. Students are not always able to get into their first choice classes, and we may need to refer to your alternates. Please make these selections thoughtfully!

9. Registration window Opens: March 13th during PRIDE Time
Closes: March 17th at 8:00pm
