1 Assessment Needs Analysis
STAGE 2 = EVALUATOR Review updates on RECORD OF HOURS recorded for this ANA period Complete SECTION 1 MUST indicate overall rating level achieved by Trainee to date Mark Discussion points &/or Development Needs  Demonstrated levels of competence that fall short of expected levels and some intervention is required. May add comments or supporting notes at specific competencies Review Trainee’s updates on SECTION 2 and edit / give comments where necessary

2 EVALUATOR : ANA STAGE 2 Review Core Hours & Section 2 + Complete Section 1 Assign Overall Rating & Development Needs Review ALL SAICA competencies & Assign a rating to relevant competencies for past 6 months’ experience SAICA REQUIREMENTS: STEP 3: The evaluator must complete SECTION 1 by indicating the overall rating level achieved by the trainee to date, based on carry forward evidence as well as new evidence presented through the current 6 month period being evaluated. Please note that this is not a mathematical average, but should rather reflect the evaluator’s judgement of the level of competence achieved by the trainee as at the date of this ANA. Demonstrated levels of competence that fall short of expected levels of competence specified by the training office at that point in time should be highlighted as areas of development and should be transferred to SECTION 4, point 2. In tasks where no evidence has been presented by the trainee, the Evaluator should consider, and document, whether this may present a development need or not. The evaluator should also review and complete SECTIONS 2, 3 and 4 The evaluator should review the examples of professional conduct submitted by the trainee to date and consider the extent to which they demonstrate an understanding of the principles embodied in these competencies. Professional conduct competencies where the evaluator believes the trainee is not adequately demonstrating the principles should be highlighted as requiring development and should be transferred to the development plan in section 4.

Evaluator: (3) Perform Evaluator functions on SECTION 1: Summary of Performance Evaluations Read through above notes and click on hyperlink

Review the associated TSRs/PSRs (click on SR number hyperlink) Assign / Edit the advanced / basic rating Nominate competencies ready for final sign off Mark development needs (only when major intervention required if the trainee perform below the norm) Mark specific competencies that should be discussed during one-on-one May add comments where relevant Click on SUBMIT

EVALUATOR Review and Assign Overall Rating to Professional Conduct Evaluator must review each PC competency and: Indicate if Principle was demonstrated Yes/No Give an overall comment Indicate is development is required Yes/No Indicate if the topic should be discussed (exceptions that you want to highlight in PRINT DISCUSSION REPORT) TO VIEW HISTORY click on SHOW EVIDENCE button

Click on the TSR / PSR hyperlink to review the details of the selected SR. NOTE: The Pink background indicates a rating difference where the Trainee disagreed with the assigned rating of the Reviewer. Review comments and evidence provided for each competency.

17 2. Ready for Final Sign Off…?
Evaluator Summary: Assign an ANA Rating / Add Comments, Mark Development Needs, Mark Discussion Points or Nominate a Competency for Final Sign Off. The Evaluator to perform the following: Assign an ANA rating Review the associated TSRs/PSRs (click on SR number hyperlink) Assign / Edit the advanced / basic rating Nominate competencies ready for final sign off Mark development needs (only when major intervention required if the trainee perform below the norm) Mark specific competencies that should be discussed during one-on-one May add comments where relevant Click on SUBMIT Assign rating. 2. 18 Evaluator: Assess Outcomes Evaluated in linked SRs
If ALL Competencies reviewed and updated, click on BACK to move to ANA Summary Page

19 Evaluator: Submit Information & Send Notification
The Evaluator to click on DOCUMENT COMPLETE with finalisation of Section 1 and OK on the warning message. Evaluator should also review SECTION 2 before re-assign to Trainee!

20 ANA Assigned to Trainee to review Section 1 and indicate discussion points.
