Group Project Member Guidelines
A guide by Mr. Ramirez
2
Read the Instructions...Carefully
The very first step in completing any group project or presentation is to read the instructions carefully for a clear understanding of what is being asked of the group in the assignment. Annotate the instructions to identify the most important tasks or even create a logical order of completion for each of the assigned tasks.

2. Delegate Responsibilities
As you are reading the instructions begin to decide who is going to do what in relation to the instructions. Assign roles to each group member in order to keep them accountable. Leader/Coordinator/Facilitator - Reads instructions, delegates roles, keeps group on task Researcher - Completes any research and/or finds textual evidence. Recorder/Writer/Secretary - Does most or all of the writing associated with the project. Technology Supervisor/Visual Coordinator - Finds/Draws/Creates visual components for project, develops ideas for use in assignment. Presenter - Responsible for organizing and presenting the findings of the group to the class

Note: All assigned roles can be performed by multiple members of the group.
If group is small, group members can perform more more than one task.

3. IT’S TIME TO GET TO WORK! Put away the phones and complete your task, paying close attention to other group members performance in case they are in need of assistance or guidance. It is important to hold each other accountable.

4. When the task has been completed and the performance or presentation is over, it is time to evaluate your teammates honestly and provide feedback to the instructor. Tip It doesn’t help your cause to lie about the contributions of the other members of your group. It can only make you look bad if you are not completely honest and everyone else is.
