2 Romanian folklore represents all the creations of spiritual culture
Romanian folklore represents all the creations of spiritual culture. The phrase refers to ethnical productions of Romanian language in all of its dialects (the majority of Romanian dances, and Aromanian, Meglenoromanian and Istroromanian too), reported in the interior of the country. Thanks to the diversity, many habits, traditions, customs, that, all together, reveal the Romanians identity prove their ancient existence. The Romanian folklore was delimitated in many folkloric areas: Crisana, Banat, Moti Country, Oas Country, Dobrogea, Moldova, Bucovina, Oltenia, Arges, Mehedinti, Harghita Area.

3 The folklore consists of the national costumes, of hundreds of years old habits, of old objects, but with spiritual meaning. The folklore is an overall conception of habits and beliefs of steadiness over the years, in the middle of social or national groups, that is transmitted from generation to generation. It also constitutes a specific feature for each social group.

5 In Romania the folklore means a lot
In Romania the folklore means a lot. For us, old houses, houses made of mud and wood, dressed up in carpets according to people’s taste mean richness.

7 Folk dances during traditional holidays
Trough dance steps, the natural gestures, the transfigured mimic of the interprets “the maramuresean dance” is different than other Romanian folk dances. The boy’s specific dance is “The man dance” The team’s dance is called “The Circle” A specific dance is called “Vili’s dance”, a dance of ‘outlaws’.
