Data Analysis and Presentation. Provides cradle to grave service for data. Help with determining what to measure, how to collect it, data retrieval, statistical analysis, and support of management decision making. Can include development and implementation of “dashboard” structures. Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Visual Basic.
Training. Provision of several training topics including Dr. Deming’s Red Bead Experiment, “The Beer Game” (developed by M.I.T.), and several other interactive presentations to give a “hands-on” approach for quality principles. Fluor Hanford sponsors the “Hanford Performance Indicator Forum” on a monthly basis which is open to all Hanford contractors without cost.
Consulting. Provision of mentoring on “Systems Thinking” and Dr. Deming’s management theories. Steve is a trained facilitator (US Navy). Can help develop your performance metrics and indicators to meet your mission, vision, and aim.

Professional Credentials
B.S. degree from Virginia Tech in Civil Engineering, Navy Nuclear Power and submarine officer qualifications, and a M.S. in Operations Research. He received the "Chief of Naval Operations Award for Excellence in Operations Research” while a student at the Naval Postgraduate School. Certified as an American Society for Quality “Certified Quality Engineer”.

Steve Prevette is a practitioner of Performance Measurement using the Theory and Tools developed and promoted by Dr. Walter Shewhart and Dr. W. Edwards Deming. He is a statistician for FH, reporting to Occupational Safety and Health. His performance indicators cover a broad spectrum of subjects, including safety, environment, operations, maintenance, and quality.
He provides his organization over 2,200 charts and analyses per month and has published several articles in the American Society for Quality’s Quality Progress magazine. He has provided the Red Bead Experiment for more than 1,500 persons in the state of Washington, and leads a monthly training session in performance indicators at Hanford. He also teaches evening statistical courses for City University.
Mr. Prevette has provided statistical consulting services for KSL of Los Alamos NM, the Department of Energy Oakland CA Field Office, and Scientech of Idaho Falls ID.
