2. Statement of the Problem
We were curious about …
“Do the different kinds of water really influence the plants even though they are in the same environment? “
AND
“How much difference would the water produce? “ 2

3. Project Overview
We tried to grow the same two types of plants in the same surrounding, but the water that we gave them was a bit different.
The first type of water was just normal water as usual, and the other one was the water from washing rice.
We tried to see how big a difference the plants would get, such as how fast they would grow or the difference of looking specifically day by day.
Therefore, our group’s goal was to see the influence of water to the plants. 3

4. Research => Rice is the most nutritious food among any others.
=> If you wash your face with rice water, your skin will become whiter.
=> If you wash your body with rice water, your skin will become more clear.
=> If you wash your hair with rice water, your hair will become healthier. 4

5. Variables Controlled variables:
- Amount of sand, kind of sand, kind of flowerpot, kind of beans, temperature, wind, amount of sunshine. (environment / place where plants were)
Independent variable:
-The water that we gave normal or water from washing rice.
Dependent variable:
- Height of the plants. 5

6. Hypothesis
1. We thought that if we grow the plants that given the different kinds water, it will be effected a lot.
2. We guess that the height of the plants will be different and their outside of looking also will not be the same. 6

7. Materials
The red bean seed, Two flowerpots, amount of sands, 15ml water from washing rice and the same amount of normal water per day, wind, sunshine, the natural things that they need when they grow up. 7

8. Procedure
Firstly, we put the two plants in the same water (15ml)to see they grow well or not and to make sure for them easy to grow up. Also the they were put in the same amount of sand. (40gm)
After two days, when we checked they grew well, we changed the water environment as first pot was set in the same water, but the other one was given the water from washing rice.
We put them under the window that was the greatest place that they could gain good amount of sunshine and the wind. They still got the different types of water for twelve days. (April 17th - April 28th) 8

Conclusion
Our hypothesis was correct.
1. Their height as time goes by was big and totally different as you can see through the chart and the graph.
2. Their outside of looking is actually different. The plant that was given by water from washing rice looks much healthier and bright.
A. Plants receive great influence of their surroundings around them, especially the water.
B. As water from washing rice really helps human a lot, it also helps the plants to grow up really well. 12
