3. To find a pot of gold that he knew was hangin’ ‘round.

4. But first he saw a rainbow a-streamin’ from the sky,

5. And showed it him where the gold was, that lucky little guy!

6. The lucky little shamrock was spending the gold,

7. But not just on himself, well, so that’s what we’ve been told.

8. He gave his gold away to the shamrocks all around,

9. And the shamrocks were so happy, they marched around the town!
