3 Major Structures of the Female Reproductive System
Uterus Fallopian Tubes  Ovaries Vagina 'Vulva Breast and Mammary Glands

4 Diagram of the Female Reproductive System

5 How does this system work with other systems?
The first system that the reproductive system works with is the circulatory system The second system that the reproductive system works with is the nervous system The third system that the reproductive system works with is the endocrine system

6 Structures of the Female Reproductive System
Uterus: The uterus (womb) is found in the female pelvis above the vagina and is where a woman's fertilised egg develops into a baby

7 Structures of the Female Reproductive System
Fallopian Tubes: The fallopian tube extends from the uterus to the ovary. This tube carries eggs and sperm and is where fertilization of the egg, or ovum takes place.

8 Structures of the Female Reproductive Sytem
Ovaries: they make the hormones oestrogen and progesterone, which help to control your periods. they store your eggs.

Breasts and mammary glands: The mammary glands, located in the breast are responsible for producing milk for a suckling baby following childbirth. maps/breast-ducts-mammary-glands#1/8

12 Disorders of the Female Reproductive System

13 Disorders of the Female Reproductive System.
Hysterectomy: a condition resulting from the appearance of endometrial tissue outside the uterus and causing pelvic pain.

14 Disorders of the Female Reproductive Systems
Pelvic Inflammatory: a condition resulting from the appearance of endometrial tissue outside the uterus and causing pelvic pain.

15 Disorders of the Female Reproductive System
Premenstrul Syndrome: a condition resulting from the appearance of endometrial tissue outside the uterus and causing pelvic pain. Happens during a womens period

16 Disorders of the Female Reproductive system
Uterine Fibroids:  a leiomyoma (benign tumor from smooth muscle tissue) that originates from the smooth muscle layer (myometrium) of the uterus
