1788: Ten Federalists, two anti-federalists and George Washington run for President (only 10 states vote) Washington wins every state’s electoral votes, John Adams who finished second in total vote (becomes VP) Washington chooses 5 men for his cabinet (both Fed & Anti-Fed)
