Selecting Courses: View and enter your requests by logging into Aspen, using your STUDENT username and password from March 26-April 3. During this date range, you can enter and make changes at any time. Student requests will then be reviewed by the counselor. Enter requests between March 26-April 3 Log in to Aspen using your student username and password. Click the My Info tab. Click the Requests side-tab. In the Primary requests box, select your requests for the different subject areas. Click Select next to the subject and the courses you can request appear. The Status column will show which math course your teacher recommended for you. Please select the level recommended for you. If you follow the Placement Review Process and submit your request via the online link by April 12 then I will make the change in Aspen. Select the checkbox in the Select column of the course(s) you want to request, and click OK. Do not use the “Notes for Counselor box.” Come and see me or me with any questions. After you complete your requests, click Post. YOU MUST POST BY April 3rd. The window will close after April 3rd and you will no longer be able to select/Edit your courses.

Placement Review Process
You must use the online link (available on the school website) in order to change your recommended level. The link will disappear after April 12 so you have to do this within the timeframe (March 26-April 12). If a level disparity between teacher recommendation and family choice occurs: Speak with the teacher If you wish to proceed with the level change, request a placement review through the link on the school website by April 12th. The Subject Supervisor may contact you to discuss. Subject Supervisors contact Guidance Counselors with placement changes. After that time, the guidance counselors make the changes in Aspen. If you are not contacted, your request was approved. Please know that all math recommendations will be reviewed by your teachers again in June so how you finish out the school year makes a difference.

Please take this process seriously.
Can I change my Mind??? Please take this process seriously. We build the entire schedule, assign faculty, and create course sections based on this information. By selecting your elected courses, you are agreeing to participate in these classes. We cannot guarantee the ability to make any changes to your elective choices after the April 3rd due date.

Notes for counselor... GOod luck!!!
Please me or come to my office instead of using “Notes for Counselor.” I am not notified if you leave me a note in that section so I may not see your note until after the due date for placement reviews. You cannot use “Notes for Counselor” in lieu of following the placement review process. You can find this information and the Program of Studies on the school website The Program of Studies will provide policies regarding placements, sequences of courses, and course descriptions. I review your requests so I will let you know if you did not select courses correctly. GOod luck!!!
