You will need your Dell notebook and a Semester Exam Review
Vocab and Map Exam is tomorrow. Culture words and African toponyms.

3. Requirements for the Review Powerpoint
(1.) Treat this is a tool to help you prepare for your final exam next week. (2.) You need to have a graphic (map, graph, chart, table, etc.) for EACH slide. Be sure to cite the source for this (either on the slide or on a bibliography at the end). (3.) You need to thoroughly answer one question per slide. You need a minimum of 10 slides. (4.) Work smarter, not harder. Use Google Drive, assign roles, and work as a group. You will share your finished product with me by Monday.

4. What is GPS?
GPS (Global Positioning System) is a system that determines the precise position of something on Earth.
24 satellites were placed in predetermined orbits by the U.S. military. These satellites are controlled and monitored by tracking stations. A GPS receiver can locate at least 4 satellites, figure out the distance to each, and use this information to pinpoint its own location.
GPS can be used to find the precise location of a moving vehicle and offer directions. Cell phones equipped with GPS can allow you to share your location with others (Facebook – check in )
