2. What is ‘Leaders in GM’?
Programme Objectives
Leaders in GM is a collective approach bringing together leaders from across all public services in Greater Manchester (GM)
It is part of a programme of activities that will support GM leaders to achieve the priorities in the Our People Our Place strategy
Its success will be in helping leaders across all areas in Greater Manchester to learn from each other, share ideas, insights and change their leadership practice to provide more joined up public services to improve the lives of people in Greater Manchester

3. The Way We Work
We’re passionate about the people who live and work in GM. We come together to connect, learn and collaborate. We lead from place, always building from our collective strengths and resources. We challenge and explore new ways of working across systems and organisations to create greater impact. We understand our personal and collective responsibilities in transforming GM.
Our shared ambition is to make GM one of the best places in the world to grow up, get on and grow old.
We work across sectors and systems to develop a new community of capable, resilient, responsible leaders.
We always start with what we’re good at, focussing on our positives to build success.
We are courageous, honest and brave in our approach to the challenges we face.
We take ownership of our work. We listen to and empower everyone, working democratically to create positive change.

Ensure greater integration of all Leading GM expectations
Ensure inclusion, equality and diversity are at the heart of all aspects of the programme
