The three classifications of materials based on light are: 1.) Transparent- light passes through Ex: water, glass

3 2.)Translucent- light is scattered
Ex: wax paper 3.) Opaque- light is reflected or absorbed Ex: snow, metal

4 How do colors combine? Three colors that can combine to make any other are called primary colors. Two primary colors combine in equal amounts to produce a secondary color.

5 Mixing Light Any two colors that combine and form white light are called complementary colors.
