How do we fund? Edinburgh & Lothians Team From April 2018, funding officers in Scotland have been working in area specific teams From initial enquiry to outcome, you’ll be in touch with funding officers who manage your local area. Our team manage grants, queries and applications from the below local authority areas We want to make better decisions and really get to know the areas we support. We want to become more visible within communities and work more closely with local people and groups.

What actual grants are available?
Themes Local community Community-Led Activity: Up to £150,000 Improving Lives: Two levels of grant Up to £150,000 Over £150,000 Community Assets: Up to £1M Slide 10 Rhian What actual grant schemes are available: We have a handful of different grant schemes, which cover different parts of the things we’ve just discussed. I’ll give you a quick overview. If you are looking to apply though, it’s typically best to just speak to us about your idea, and we’ll keep you right. For work covering themes and specific groups, our Grants for Improving Lives cover most of the themes mentioned before. There are two levels of grants – up to £150k, and above £150k. The lower level has a quicker application process. Can also offer grants of up to £100k for work led by and involving young people, through our Young Start fund. For local community work, our Grants for Community-Led Activity offer up to £150k over multiple years to address broad issues of local wellbeing and inequality. If you’re looking for funds for community-owned buildings or land, we run the Scottish Land Fund, which offers grants for land or building purchase (but not refurb or building work). We also run our Community Assets fund, which can be used for development as well as purchase, but focuses strongly on addressing local inequality and disadvantage. Both these funds offer grants up to £1M. Community Assets in particular is very competitive. Young Start: Up to £100,000 Scottish Land Fund: Up to £1M
