The only way to prove that you’re good at a sport is to lose
The only way to prove that you’re good at a sport is to lose. - Ernie Banks

Rules of Sport For each of the following statements, identify which sport the rule is a part of.

Players strike the ball in turn with the furthest away from the hole going first.

The ball can only be moved by either dribbling (bouncing the ball) or passing the ball. Once a player puts two hands on the ball (not including catching the ball) they cannot then dribble or move with the ball and the ball must be passed or shot.

The game begins with a kick-off where one team punts the ball down field for the other team to then run back with the ball as far as possible.

When served, if the shuttle lands on the line it is considered “IN”.

A batter gets up to three strikes before given out.

You cannot hit an opponent when they are down.

A game must have two umpires stand at either end of the wicket.

Players are not allowed to carry, palm or run with the ball.

Players may use physical force to win the puck off their opponent.

The match is started by a “pull”, where one side throws-off to the other.
