Information Ads- describes features, gives facts on price or quality Sends message of good to buy Image Ads- Contributes to the lifestyle consumer wants, often used celebrities to endorse or recommend product Sends message of you will be something if you buy

Be mindful of the Ads Ads will not mention the negative
Be realistic (think weight loss ads) Don’t trust endorsements Famous people are more times than none NOT the expert Beware that many actors you see no not actually use the product/service Beware of the catchy slogans- no guarantee of quality Ads will center on trends and tempt impulse buying What is a trend?
