8. Jump Shot
An attempt to score a basket by jumping straight up and in mid jump, propelling the ball in an arc towards the basket.

9. Rebound
To gain possession of a basketball that has bounced off the rim or back board after an attempt on goal.

10. Box - Out
To place the body between the basket and an opposing player, often with the arms spread behind the body to detect changes in the opponent’s position, when attempting to rebound the ball.

11. This occurs when an offensive player pushes or moves into a defensive player

12. 7
When a team commits this many fouls, the other team is rewarded a foul shot for every foul committed after they get the seventh foul for the half

13. Jump Ball
This will start a game of basketball.

14. This is a violation that occurs when the offensive team gets the ball over the mid-court line and then goes back over it while they still have possession of the ball.
