A-16 Miss Hannigan, Ms. Guagliardo & Mrs. Gaskill’s Weekly Newsletter Week of 3/11/19 Lessons of the Week: Roll of the Dice: Students rolled dice and counted how many of each number they rolled. How Tall Am I?: Students measured how tall their classmates were using blocks. St. Patrick’s Day Story: Students read stories about St. Patrick’s Day. Skills Addressed: Counting Numbers Measurement Tip of the Week: Don’t forget, pictures are Monday, March 18th! Classroom Needs: Thank you for all of the donations for our Movie Basket! We really appreciate it! Special Information: Our field trip is going to be May 22nd! I will be sending out more information soon! Parent Links: Math for preschoolers is much more than rote counting.  It includes many concepts, including understanding and comparing quantities, exploring shapes and spatial relationships, comparing sizes, measuring, creating patterns, and interpreting data.
