I Thessalonians 5:21 “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” However when it comes to preaching, the righteous preacher only preaches what he knows is right. This isn’t to suggest he is perfect, but rather that he is striving to preach Bible only. In other words no “I believe, only the Bible says.” The gospel preachers flees teaching a different doctrine!!!

He would much rather discuss our “common salvation.” The gospel preacher flees from division causing quarrels & controversy that are not salvational issues.

Righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness Gentleness This is meekness and mildness but is not to be confused with weakness. The word literally means “strength under control.” I Th 2:7

I Thessalonians 2:7 “But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children.”

Righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness The good fight of faith The good fight of faith Gospel preachers are to run towards the “good fight of faith.” This is the spiritual war being fought for the souls of mankind. Content gospel preachers have the whole armor of God on ready for the battle. Ep 6:10-13

Ephesians 6:10-13 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.”

I John 5:13 “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.”

Galatians 3:27 “For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” (NASB95)

The word reproach here in the NKJV has blameless. The idea is that content gospel preachers seek doctrine that is… Sound, logical, and legitimate Without flaw Honest with integrity This is the same word found in… I Ti 3:2; I Ti 5:7

I Timothy 3:2 “Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober- minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach”

I Timothy 5:7 “Command these things as well, so that they may be without reproach.”
