2 Figure 1 The Golgi Resident Protein GOLM1 Promotes the Recycling of Endocytosed EGFR After entering the cell, ligand-occupied EGFRs are delivered to the Rab5-positive early endosome, where some of them are sorted either to MVB and lysosome for degradation or to the nucleus by retrograde transport through Golgi and ER for DNA repair or regulation of gene expression. Some EGFRs recognized by GOLM1 are dispatched from TGN and move from the early endosome to the recycling endosome by a process requiring GOLM1 interaction with Rab11, eventually being transported back to the cell surface.
