Mussolini Fought in WWI
He felt Italy was short changed with the peace agreement. Joined and organized a fascist revolution. He terrorized those who opposed him “bully” He became a powerful figure and threaten to march on Rome, so the king approved him as prime minister. Once in power he wanted to restore greatness, he suspended elections and established a dictatorship.

Hitler Also a soldier during WWI
He was enraged by how Germany was treated after WWI In 1919 he joined a small political party National Socialist German Workers Party-Nazi Party Powerful public speaking ability In 1923 he tried to over throw the German government. He was not successful. He was sentenced to prison for five years.

Hitler continued While in prison he outlined the Nazi philosophy.
He argued that German was weakened by certain populations in Germany, mainly Jews. He also blamed the Jewish population for Germany defeat in WWI. He wanted to strengthen the military and expand German boundaries
