Ageing of public administration has been recognized as a problem, but the age groups should not be focused so much and we should be very careful with stereotypes in that regard: older employees also are ready to adapt to new challenges No problems to attract young generation, it might be problem to retain them Public administration is a good opportunity for the first workplace Intrinsic work values have high importance for young people who want to work in public administration Enter barriers into public administration are observed in some countries

Some examples of initiatives for attracting young generation
Promoting work possibilities in social media, on-line platforms, ambassadors to create the links to outside (EC) Initiatives to attract required skills to public administration (economics, law – Ireland; promotion of return migration among high skilled students – Latvia; Talent management program in Estonia) Obligation to keep some positions for young employees (Slovakia)

Inclusive approach Clearly communicated mission, vision and strategy of organization Engagement of top managers and their team Mobility and rotation programs to give the feeling of engagement
