Sept. 5, 14 ACTIVATOR: Homework is out on the corner of your desk, copy down tonight’s homework. 2. Binder people, please pass out binders. 3. Activator: Take out your math packet and notebook. In your notebook put today’s date in the corner, and Activator on the first line. Answer: i. Write a ratio for the following description: Kaleel made three times as many basket as John during basketball practice. ii. Write a ratio of the following description: For every 6 cups of flours in a bread recipe, there are 2 cups of milk.

9 September 5, [Day A] Who can give me an example of a ratio relationship that is interesting to you? Some clues that indicate a ratio relationship: To For each For every Multiplicative comparison (twice, four times as many)

10 September 5, [Day A] Read and study the description of the data in the chart. Are the ratios 2:5 and 5:2 the same? Why or why not? Without looking back at the description, what is the chart about? Based on the survey, should the company order more pink fabric or more orange fabric? What is the ratio of the number of bolts of pink fabric to number of bolts of orange fabric you think the company should order? Someone said 5 to 3 and my friend said 3 to 5. Are those the same? Is a ratio of 3 to 5 the same as a ratio of 5 to 3? Remember, the ordering of the words in the description of the ratio relationship is what determines the order of the numbers in the ratio.
