You can request to have your password reset if you have forgotten it.
Have students log on to CIC. If students have forgotten their password, you can reset it on your professional account to password. You can also call Marsha to reset the passwords. Tell them to request that on CIC by indicating they forgot their password. If you cannot remember how to reset their password, let me know, and I will do it.

2. ICAP Milestone
Resume
You will do the Resume on College in Colorado to keep a record of your activities and awards. A resume can be used for scholarships, college applications, and employment.
Students will create or update their resume on College in Colorado. They should follow the directions on the slides that follow. Tell the students that a resume contains your contact information, education, experience, honors and activities, skills, and references. A reference is a person that you have a relationship with that can give positive examples of your abilities. They cannot be people students are related to. If they created a resume last year, students should update their resume with all of the activities they have done this year. Freshman and 8th graders will be creating a new resume. As they fill out the activities they have completed, they should think about the criteria that they learned in the GPA game. Tell them to ask themselves if they are doing what they need to do to get in the college of their choice and to win a scholarship to attend.

3. ICAP Milestones Click on Your Planning Milestones under Your Portfolio
The Resume will be the milestones students complete today. They should click on Planning Milestones here.

4. Milestone: Resume Click on Resume.
If this is missing from a student’s milestones, please contact me ASAP.

5. Milestone: Resume
Click on your most recent resume if you started a resume last year. We will update it today.
Click on Build a new resume if you did not start a resume last year.
Students click Build a new resume or if they started a resume last year, they should click on a resume they have previously created and update that resume.

6. Milestone: Resume Click on Continue.
Finish all of these steps in the creation of your resume.
Students click Continue. They need to fill in all of the sections listed.

7. Milestone: Resume Give your resume a title. Click on Save.
Students can name the resume with their first name if they like, or they can date the resume. They then should save their resume.

8. Milestone: Resume Click on See Your Resume
Students click on See Your Resume.

9. Milestone: Resume Click on Save Resume and then Return to option menu.
They can edit their resume if there are mistakes. If not, they should save their resume and then return to option menu.

10. Milestone: Resume You now have a completed resume.
They now have the resume they completed listed here.
You now have a completed resume.

11. Your Portfolio Click on Your Portfolio
Now they can check if they finished the milestone.

12. Your Portfolio Scroll down and click on Your Planning Milestones
This link will take them to a list of the milestones.

13. Your Planning Milestones
You should have a check mark next to:
Resume
This indicates the milestone is complete.
They should have the Resume milestone complete with today’s date.

14. The future depends on what we do in the present.
