At the CENTER of your paper, write:

Details! Pay CLOSE attention to punctuation for each source!
Additionally, be sure to INDENT if your source information goes onto a second, third, fourth line. For this project, you might have used a commercial, website, or newspaper. This powerpoint will show you how to document said sources.

Find your FIRST CITATION (1st paragraph)
(Harris) Author’s Last name (Genetically Engineered Foods) No author = article title After you found the citation, locate it in your source sheets (where you documented the publication information)

A Book: If you have an author follow this example:
Last name, First name. Title. City, State: Publishers, year. Example: Collins, Ronald. The Trials of Lenny Bruce: The Fall and Rise of an American Icon. Naperville, IL: Sourcebooks, 2002.

Website: If you have a website:
“Web site title.” Website source. Year. Day month year <web address>. Example: “Ho Chi Minh.” Encyclopedia Britannica Sept

Newspaper/Magazine: If you have a newspaper:
Last name, First name. “Title.” Newspaper Name day month year: issue. Example: Continelli, Louise. “A Place for Owls to Heal.” Buffalo News 12 Jan. 2003: C2.

Commercial: If you have a commercial:

IMPORTANT FINAL STEP Once you have correctly documented your sources (with punctuation), put into alphabetical order according to the FIRST PIECE of information written. If you do not have any given information, omit it and move on. Do NOT “number” your sources! Do NOT “bullet point” your sources!
