Results 126 patients (252 eyes) Male= 58 (46%) Females= 68 (54%). Mean duration of diabetes since diagnosis= 3.89 years. Diabetic retinopathy present in 34.5% (103 eyes). 3.17% of the eyes had CSME.

Conclusion The study has shown that diabetes has affected the most economically active age group (31-50 years) Duration of diabetes diabetic retinopathy (Pearson chi2 p=.000) A total of 34.5% eyes had diabetic retinopathy; of which 8.73% (22/252) were males and 11.5% (29/252) were females.
