You will be Split into 4 groups to produce a short presentation and fact sheet about 1 of the 4 conflicts.
You must:-
1. Explain Why and How America became involved.
2. Show The chronology of the event/conflict.
3. Show The extent of American involvement.
4. Evaluate How successful was America
5. Explain the Impact on America’s reputation both at home and abroad.
6. Evaluate the importance of this event in the context of the Cold War and how close the super powers cam to a full confrontation.

7. Peer Evaluation
Next Lesson you will show your presentations to the rest of the group and distribute the fact sheet. Your presentations will be discussed and then judged according to the following criteria:
Description: How well you show what happened.
Explanation: Do you give the reasons why it happened?
Evaluation: Did you weigh up and discuss the importance of what happened?
Presentation: Is your show attractive, clear and well laid out?
You should consider all of these when producing your presentation.

9. Cold War Evaluation
Using the fact sheets and presentations you should now produce an excel graph or chart to show how close to war you feel the super powers were before, during and after each of these events.
Your X axis should be labelled events.
Your Y axis should be labelled Cold War Tension.
You should fully annotate your diagrams.

10. For Example
Before Berlin there was building tension due to the USA refusing to share technology, the Truman Doctrine and the differing ideologies of Russia and the USA.
Your completed Graph should be stuck into your exercise book and fully annotated.
