Heaven had been His home since before the world began, and He longed to return (Hebrews 12:2; John 1:1; 16:28; 14:2; 17:24).

Jesus “emptied Himself,” and left home (Philippians 2:7-8; Luke 2:7).
The Father sent Him (John 8:29; 1 Jn. 4:9).

Jesus was sent on an impossible mission, but “Is anything too hard for God?” (Genesis 18:14; Lk. 18:27)
A virgin conceived (Isa. 7:14; Lk. 1:34-35; Gal. 4:4-5)
A human lived a sinless life! (Romans 8:3; Hebrews 4:15; 2:18; 2:10; 1 Peter 1:19-20; 2:22)
A man conquered death (Jn. 19:34; Luke 23:48-49; Matt. 27:52-53, 66; 16:18; Rev. 1:18; Acts 2)
The impossible dream became a living hope! (1 Peter 1:3-4)

There and Back Again – Mission Accomplished!
The ascension of Christ back to His Father in Heaven was a critical mission component
It creates a HOPE and LONGING for heaven in us
