The science: Graphology: the process of analyzing handwriting It is called a pseudo-science because of the debates about how accurate it is at determining psychological or physical attributes * The science of handwriting analysis to determine a forgery is actual real science and is admissible in court.

Letter size Small: You are shy or withdrawn, studious, concentrated and meticulous Average: You are well-adjusted and adaptable Large: You are outgoing, people-oriented, outspoken and love attention OR – you are putting up a front and pretend to have a lot of confidence

Spacing between words Wide spacing: you enjoy your freedom and don’t like to be overwhelmed or crowded Narrow spacing: you don’t like to be alone, to tend to crowd people or be intrusive

The letters “L” and “E” Narrow “l”: you may be holding back, causing tension Wide “l”: you are relaxed and spontaneous Narrow “e”: you are skeptical of others, not easily swayed by emotion Wide “e”: you are open minded and enjoy new things

Remember to dot your I’s…
Center of the i: detail-oriented, organized and emphatic Left side: you are a procrastinator High center: you have a great imagination Circle or other design: visionary, child-like Slash, no dot: you are overly self-critical, no patience with people who don’t learn from their mistakes

…And to cross your t’s! In the middle: confident and comfortable Top/high: ambitious, optimistic, high self- esteem Long: determined and enthusiastic, also stubborn and “can’t let it go” Short: lazy and lack determination

Check out your “S” Try it with a cursive, lowercase “s”
Round: you are a people pleaser, avoid confrontation Pointy: enjoy learning new things, inquisitive, ambitious (higher the point – more ambition) Wide bottom: you are not following your heart

“O” my goodness! Look at your “o’s” (and p, g, q a’s)
Open O: you are talkative, social, able to express your feelings, hide very little Closed O: you are very private, an introvert, you limit who you share with

Is there a Slant? No slant: logical, practical, not emotional Right slant: open to new experiences and enjoy meeting new people Left slant: keep to yourself – behind the scenes ***Right handed with a left slant: REBEL!

Are you round or pointed?
Look at your sample handwriting: What do you see more of? Round: creative and artistic Pointed: aggressive, intense, curious, smart Connected: logical, systematic and weigh decisions very carefully

Pressure and speed: Light pressure: sensitive, show empathy, lack vitality Heavy: take things seriously, commitment Very heavy: uptight, react quickly to criticism Fast: impatient, dislike delays and wasting time Slow: you are organized, methodical and self- reliant

Capitalizations This is looked at with a page of writing:
When you write the capital letter “I”: Larger than other capitals: arrogance Smaller than other capitals: happy with themselves

Your signature Illegible: very private, hard to read or understand Legible: confident and comfortable, not fake

Page margins Left margin: you tend to live in the past, have a hard time letting go of things Right margin: you fear the unknown, you constantly worry about the future All over the place: you cannot sit still or relax, your mind is constantly going

Is someone lying? Detecting deception in writing: Handwriting that is:
Bunched up Out of alignment with the rest Or otherwise different This indicates that sentence is a LIE!
