5 D is for…. Day’s timetable
You’ll arrive on the island after a boat trip of about an hour from Auckland or 20 minutes from Gulf Harbour. At the wharf you’ll be greeted by the ranger and put into small groups with a guide to walk and explore the island – and spot rare birds! By lunchtime you’ll be up near the lighthouse. After a bite to eat you can enjoy more activites like a scavenger hunt around the visitors centre. A walk back down to the wharf will allow you at 3.30pm to get the ferry and then a bus ride back to school.
