A. The pattern of 7 days is established

(Gen 2:3) And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

B. The pattern of 7 days is emphasized

(Exo 23:12) Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed. (Exo 20:8-10) Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Seven is the number means completion or perfection When God counts he counts to seven and starts over with one again Example= Sabbath
