1.3 Follow established safety procedures during work activities
Every workplace should have established safety procedures that must be followed during work activities. By following these procedures the risk of sustaining an injury in the workplace is greatly diminished. If a worker does not follow these policies, they put themselves at risk of injury, and place their employer in a position where they may be liable to pay compensation in the event of an injury.
10
A WorkCover record of health or safety issue form can be found here.
1.4 Identify and report existing and potential safety issues to designated persons. It is the responsibility of every worker to identify and report any potential safety issue to the designated person in charge of Work Health and Safety at the organisation. If you see a potential problem, legally you must report it to the relevant person. A WorkCover record of health or safety issue form can be found here.

Regular updates regarding WHS issues should be distributed to all staff.
17
2.3 Make suggestions for improving work health and safety practices.
All employees should be encouraged to make suggestions on ways to improve the safety of their workplace.
