1 Revolution vs. Rotation
Rotation: the amount of time it takes a planet to spin around on its axis one time. Axis:  an imaginary line running through the center of the planet. Revolution: the amount of time it takes a planet to orbit around 
the Sun.

2 The Earth rotates around it’s axis once every 24 hours. (1 day)
A revolution of the Earth around the Sun takes one year. (365 days)

3 Seasons When you look at a Globe of the Earth,
you can see that the Earth is tilted at an angle. When the Earth travels around the Sun, it remains tilted in the same direction. This means that sometimes the top half of the Earth is pointed towards the Sun, and sometimes it is pointed away from the Sun.
