D12 – Bellringer Now, let’s review our reading from last time (pp ), and answer the following: When looking at an argument, as you prepare to analyze it, consider (37-39) (should take 1-2 minutes): 1. Question the R________. Is this really true? 2. What A________s make the argument possible? Are these correct? 3. What are “Unless” statements allowing you to do? Are any of these accurate? If so, that’s something you can use! After answering these, read pp 40-45

Argument Time! Now, we are going to take our former argument, Animal Testing, and argue from the opposite perspective! Take a few minutes to prepare, and then we’ll get started! A, B & C…) Con Intro (2 min) (Why WE are right: 1, 2, & 3) Con Rebuts Pro (2 min) (find issues with other side, point those out, ask ?s. etc.) Pro Rebuts Con (2 min) Final Statement: Pro (2 min) (Again, why we are right) Final Statement: Con (2 min) (why WE are right)
