Intermediate, Proficient, & Advanced Levels ONLY
Friday, November 16th & Saturday, November 17th
Clinician - Dr. Rodney Caldwell, Mars Hill University
Location – Hickory Ridge High School
Concert at 4pm on Saturday
Cost $15 (includes supper on Friday night)
Requirements – learn music in advance; attend pre-festival rehearsal on Tuesday, October 30th

3. All-County Choral Festival Showcase
Women’s Ensemble ONLY
ALL participating choirs may perform 2 selections during the showcase portion of the festival concert on Sat. Nov. 17th
Showcase ONLY participants arrive at 2pm to participate in warm- up for the concert
Performance at 4pm

4. NC Honors Chorus Auditions
Audition Piece: Awake the Harp from Creation - Haydn
Sightreading IS required
Audition Date: Thursday, September 27th
Audition Fee: $20 – due by Sept. 7
If selected, festival/performance is Sat. Nov. 10th & Sun. Nov. 11th in Winston-Salem
Clinician: Dr. Joe Miller (Westminster Choir College)
Overnight Trip – Approx. Cost - $100

5. Mars Hill Choral Festival Auditions
Auditions are FREE!!!
Auditions are Wednesday, October 10th at Northwest Cabarrus
NO Sightreading required
Sing 2 minute excerpt of your voice part from a grade IV, V, or VI piece from the MPA rep list
Festival is January 31-February 2nd
Clinician: Z. Randall Stroope
Overnight trip – Approx. Cost $175

6. NC All-State Choral Festival
Allotments are based on enrollment/size of school choir
No audition required
Mrs. Cook selects attendees – let her know if you’re interested
Friday, April 26th & Saturday, April 27th
Yes, this is during Spring Break 
Location: Charlotte Convention Center
Estimated Cost: Approximately $50-75
