Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt

Where are pharaohs (specifically) buried?
A- They were buried in tombs in vast pyramids to remain undamaged as a permanent home for the pharaohs to live in. B- The pharaohs were then placed in wooden coffins after 70 days of preparation.

How does an Egyptian become a pharaoh?
A- An Egyptian has to be blood-related to the current pharaoh in order to become the next pharaoh, after the current one has passed. B- Another way for an Egyptian to become a pharaoh is when they’re founded by force and justified by divine rights.

Why are they called pharaohs and not kings?
A- Because they believed that pharaohs could speak to the gods of ancient Egypt. B- They also believed that pharaohs show divine guidance and protection.

Who were some important pharaohs and why?
Djoser was claimed as a god and had the most important stone structure in ancient Egypt built (the Steppe Pyramid), which formed the basis for the Great Pyramid at Giza. Ramses II tried to keep the newly acquired territory (known as Syria today), but lost it to the Hittites; later he signs a treaty w/ them and agreed to marry the daughter of the Hittite king.
