2. Design Specifications
Calculating coil length: The distance between stacked base pairs is approximately (3.4 nm / turn) / (10.5 bp / turn) = nm / bp.
Calculating sheet length: The length of a "sheet" can be calculated using simple trigonometry. We assumed that the diameter d of a coil is 3.0 nm.

Determine oligos needed
Check each others’ oligos redundantly
Order oligos; fold; visualize for efficacy
Conduct thrombin-aptamer binding assays (simultaneously)
Repeat steps 1-3 for oligos coded with aptamer sequences (within and without)
