Simple Past To talk about activities that began and ended in the past. (yesterday, last night, two days ago, in 2012) There are two kind of verbs: regular and irregular There are two kind of be / auxiliary: was and were Was: he, she, it, Anna, and I Were: they, we, you, Anna and Thomas

With verb Positive S + V2 (regular / irregular) + o/c Of For example: 1. She went to London last month. 2. They gave Mr. Andi a picture of Soekarno yesterday.

With verb Negative S + didn’t + V1 + o/c
Of For example: 1. She didn’t go to London last month. 2. They didn’t give Mr. Andi a picture of Soekarno yesterday.

With verb Introgative Did + S + V1 + o/c?
Of For example: 1. Did she go to London last month? 2. Did they give Mr. Andi a picture of Soekarno yesterday?

Without verb Positive S + was / were + o/c
Of For example: 1. She was here last month. 2. They were busy yesterday.

Without verb Negative S + wasn’t / weren’t + o/c Of For example: 1. She wasn’t here last month. 2. They weren’t busy yesterday.
