Before You Read You are going to read an anecdote, an interesting true story about Kafka. Observe the title of the text on the next page, its source and layout and then use your notebook to write down the correct options to complete the sentences. The text is from an e-book/online news aggregator and blog. The author of the text is Franz Kafka/a clinical social worker. The text was published in 2011/2016.

As You Read Which sentence best summarizes the author's interpretation of Kafka's story described in the text? Write it down in your notebook. Children must be encouraged to enter a fantasy world. When we lose someone or something we love, that love returns in a new form. Changes are inevitable and we need to learn how to deal with them. The pain felt by children when they lose something they love cannot be compared to what adults feel in the same situation.

After You Read Discuss the following questions in small groups. What was your reaction when you read that story? Have you ever lost something or someone you loved? If so, how did you deal with that loss? Did you overcome it? Do you believe that "when we lose someone we love, that love returns in a new form"? Have you ever had that experience?
