The Scientific Method Observe: What’s the Problem? Research Hypothesis
Experiment Analysis Conclusion Observe: to study something using your senses Research: What do you know about this? How can you find out more? Hypothesis: a prediction based on background knowledge saying what is expected to happen in an experiment Experiment: a series of steps used to figure out the effects of a certain factor on another factor; Analysis: to figure out what data or information means Conclusion: a process of arriving at an inference, interpretation, or reason

Balloon (blow up), chalk (can erase), rubber band (be flexible), cotton ball (soak up knowledge), battery (life in it), bell (teacher dismisses you) Do Not Open the Bag! Using your senses and reasoning skills, try to guess what is in the bag.
